Headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, GHS’ presence in Brazil was established in January 2012. The office serves as our hub in the Latin American region.
GHS Brazil supports our clients’ goals using a unique model that leverages the synergies between advocacy, strategic communications, research and program work. The office provides expertise in Brazilian public health, capacity for innovation and commitment to sharing lessons with other countries in the South.
We bring a deep understanding of the local context as well as an ability to connect local work to global issues and priorities. Over the years, GHS Brazil has engaged in a wide range of projects which have included strategic communication, stakeholder management for research programs, context mapping and program implementation and oversight.
We help global clients be effective on the ground, and local clients apply a global strategic lens to their work.
We are passionate about the issues we work on and aim to have an impact on health and development indicators both domestically and globally. Recent projects have focused on maternal and child health, reproductive rights, nutrition, malaria and the links between health and environment.
The Brazil team includes professionals with diverse backgrounds – communications, international relations, clinical research, policy and advocacy – and strong roots in health and rights advocacy.
