As a Communications Associate, Diêgo Lôbo uses his skills to leverage GHS’s projects around climate and energy, sexual and reproductive health and rights, among others, pitching stories in Latin America and Lusophone Africa. Prior to joining GHS, he worked as a Communications and Fundraising Officer for five years at CESE, a grant-making organization supporting grassroots initiatives and human rights defense in Brazil. He was one of the leads of the MDGs award-winner Action for Children Program, a cooperation between organizations from Brazil, South Africa, Kenya, India and the Netherlands.

Diêgo interned at the Soul City Institute for Health and Development Communication in Johannesburg, supporting its online communication strategy. Over the past few years, he has collaborated with organizations such as the European Journalism Centre (EJC), 350.org, Global Justice Now and Global Call for Climate Action (GCCA). Diêgo holds a degree in Communications with a major in Public Relations from the Bahia State University (UNEB) and an MA in Media Practice for Development and Social Change from the University of Sussex in the UK.
