Amandeep is a Senior Manager at GHS and supports advocacy and communication efforts on Immunization and NTDs. Amandeep has over 11 years of experience in public health policy and public affairs. Prior to joining GHS, Amandeep has managed a wide range of public policy & public affairs projects while working at the Planning Commission, Government of India and Edelman India office.

Amandeep spearheaded the parliamentary advocacy campaign for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Bill, 2014, simplifying the regulations for procuring opioid drugs when used for medicinal purposes. The passing of the bill enables increased access to pain relief and palliative care for millions of terminally ill patients in India. The campaign won the prestigious public affairs Gold Sabre – Healthcare (providers/medical devices) Award in the year 2014.

A Masters in Business Administration specializing in Healthcare Management, Amandeep in the past has been associated with several international & national organizations in managing research-driven advocacy and communications programs for Organizations of Pharmaceutical Products in India (OPPI), Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), British United Provident Association (BUPA), Abbott, Astra Zeneca, and Tata Chemicals Limited.
