Flavia brings more than 13 years of professional experience in development, and currently manages advocacy and policy related projects in GHS Brazil office. Her experience include having worked in ActionAid with the Food Rights Campaign, in the Rio de Janeiro Human Rights State Government as international relations advisor and responsible for the Centre to Assist Victims of Human Trafficking, and leading south-south cooperation projects between Latin America and West Africa in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Flavia has also managed an activism network (AllOut) in Brazil to promote LGBT rights and fight against homophobia through campaigns and advocacy activities. Before joining GHS, Flavia acted as External Affairs Officer for United Nations Relief Works Agency, supporting communications and fundraising activities to benefit Palestine Refugees in the Middle East. As Portuguese native speaker, Flavia is fluent in English and Spanish. She majored in International Affairs, and holds a Masters Degree in Development, Strategies and Public Policies from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
