Zied leads GHS’ Middle East and North Africa portfolio. He brings more than 15 years of experience with philanthropies, government, civil society and the private sector. Prior to GHS, Zied worked extensively on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and other infectious diseases in Africa and the Middle East. In parallel to his public health career, Zied has a substantial experience with media. During the Arab Spring, Zied worked with international media to produce news stories and report from the field. He also was a radio host and online media entrepreneur. Zied is trilingual, a medical doctor and holds two Masters in Public Health from the American University of Beirut and the University of Washington. He is a Fulbright Alumnus and a Tutu fellow.
