Viraj is an ex-journalist with experience in policy advocacy and government relations. He is passionate about improving access to government agencies and public services. At GHS, he supports India’s apex biomedical research body, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), and AIIMS New Delhi’s Cardio-Neuro Centre with strategic communications, public outreach, and capacity building.

Prior to this, he was facilitating conversations and partnerships between industry stakeholders and the Indian government at the Central and State levels, with a focus on rural entrepreneurship, tourism, shipping, and green mobility. He has also worked as a journalist for two years, covering technology, politics, and international affairs. Viraj has an undergraduate degree in Mass Communication from Symbiosis International University, Pune.
