Through the years at GHS, Raman has worked across a host of health issues specializing in tuberculosis, immunization and neglected tropical diseases. Across these portfolios, he has overseen the deployment of a range of advocacy and communications strategies and approaches to bring greater visibility to critical issues – these include driving a sustained narrative on editorial and digital media, executing communications campaigns (including those for governments), developing communications materials for different sets of stakeholders, and building the capacity of government officials – especially at the state and district levels – to communicate more effectively. He is also adept in developing policy research papers and reports and analysing implementation and budgetary guidelines to support evidence-based policies. With experience collaborating with global donors and institutions like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, WHO, and the World Bank, he excels in crafting innovative, impact-driven strategies. He completed his Master’s in Magazine Journalism from Cardiff University, United Kingdom and a Diploma from the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai.
