Raaniah holds an MSc. in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and is a youth advocate with 6+ years of volunteer experience advancing gender justice, health equity, and climate resilience. She has worked with ARROW, IPPF, and recently with the WHO, where she led a systematic scoping review of long-term care assessment tools to inform the Global Strategy for the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021–2030). Following her research interest in climate change, she presented her postgraduate paper, “A Road to Climate Resilience: Addressing the Impact of Climate Change on Livelihood and SRH of Women in the Indian Sundarbans,” at ICFP 2025 under the Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health.
In the past year, she expanded into resource mobilisation and contributed to more than 30 technical proposals for INGOs across East Africa. She currently serves as an elected Youth Board Member at the Family Planning Association of India (FPAI, Bhopal), strengthening youth-led advocacy and community action.
Raaniah envisions a world where young people are not just participants, but architects of equitable and climate-resilient development systems.
