Ouma Onyango is a Senior Program Associate in the GHS Nairobi office. Prior to GHS, Ouma worked at local media stations in Nairobi where he handled wide range of broadcast duties including field reporting with a focus on health, developing story ideas, conducting interviews and coordinating schedules with production crews. Once there, he grew into the role of a co-opted news producer where he oversaw and managed the newsroom. At the same time, he also hosted a health program where he engaged with various health experts. Ouma has also interned and worked for various hospitals in Nairobi. Ouma’s interest and passion lie in using communication as a tool to ensuring social and economic justice for emerging countries.
He graduated from Kenyatta University with an Honours B.Sc. degree in public health.
