Meriem Benazzouz is a freshly graduated medical doctor from Morocco. She has started her Global health experiences through her implication in the International Federation of Medical Students Associations – IFMSA. Meriem held several leadership positions. During these terms, she had several opportunities to actively engage in several global health topics such as climate change and health, UHC, health emergencies and prevention, AMR, and HIV & AIDS.
She worked on these issues through leading communication campaigns and on-the-ground activities, meeting and establishing sustainable partnerships with key stakeholders and attending high-level meetings namely the 68th WHO EMRO committee, the 72nd WHA, and COP 22 & COP 27.
Currently as a Global Health Strategies intern, Meriem is supporting the MENA team’s efforts on advocacy, communication and strategic planning. Meriem is currently actively involved in the planning and organization of the RLM forum and REACH awards projects.
