Julia is a Communications and Advocacy Manager with a passion for health equity and gender and racial justice. She graduated from Scripps College in 2020 with a B.A. in American Studies and a minor in Dance.
Before joining GHS, Julia gained policy and advocacy experience with PEN America, a human rights and literature organization where she helped produce events and campaigns around global free expression issues. She also interned with the John Howard Association of Illinois, an independent prison watchdog organization where she visited and advocated for better conditions in Illinois prisons. Most recently, Julia worked in communications at UCLA Health, where she developed messaging for campaigns on topics such as COVID-19, preventive care, and maternal health.
