Hitesh Mahajan is responsible for implementing a strong financial system for GHS India by providing leadership on all financial management issues. His core functions include managing a portfolio of grants (USAID, Global Fund, BMGF, MSDF & DFID), overseeing all aspects of finance and administration matters ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical requirements as mandated by the law of the country. He is also responsible for project financial accounting and control of India, Kenya, South Africa, and Indonesia.
Hitesh is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of broad financial experience. He previously held senior financial management roles at The Futures Group International and International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, with relevant experience in strategic planning, project finance, government accounting, cash management, taxation, risk management, and compliance. Hitesh also possesses rich experience with regard to Employee Benefit Plans, double taxation avoidance agreements, FCRA, FEMA, and Internal Control Systems.
