Haroon Shafiqi was previously a multimedia broadcast journalist at the BBC for over five years. He specialised in creating content and digital strategy for audiences across several languages. He has also served as the Head of Press for DFID in Afghanistan, overseeing media coverage and communications strategy for Afghan and UK audiences. In addition, Haroon was a Stakeholder Relationship Manager at a market research consultancy with clients in the MENA region and South Asia. Prior to that, he managed the Production and Outreach department at the office of the President of Afghanistan. Haroon has a Masters in International Studies from the University of Sheffield.
