Ganendra is a Director at GHS, spearheading the work in Indonesia and the ASEAN region. With over a decade of program management and political advocacy experience in developing countries, his focus has been on addressing major infectious diseases, particularly Tuberculosis (TB), at national, regional, and global levels. Currently, he leads GHS efforts in Indonesia, focusing on nutrition, TB, vaccination, and facilitating south-south collaboration for knowledge exchange among global south countries, particularly within ASEAN.
Before joining GHS, Ganendra has worked with prominent national and global organizations such as the Ministry of Health Indonesia, Global TB Caucus, WHO Global TB Programme, UNAIDS, and IAPAC. His proactive approach involves engaging with members of parliament to address TB and other critical health issues. Notably, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, he played a key role in leading a successful multistakeholder advocacy campaign. This effort contributed to a significant threefold increase in the national TB budget, totaling over USD 193 million, showcasing his dedication and effectiveness in navigating challenging situations.
