Francesca joined GHS in June 2014 after completing her MPH at Columbia University. At Columbia, Francesca studied maternal and reproductive health, leading to a six month research stint in Tanzania with the Averting Maternal Death and Disability program. Previously, Francesca worked as an advocacy coordinator for the Indian Network for People Living with HIV/AIDS in Chennai, India, developing strategies to counter discrimination and improve access to health care. In an earlier life, Francesca was a legal reporter in New York, writing about topics as varied as the Calgary oil sands and the municipal bond market. Francesca also holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in European History.
Since joining GHS, Francesca has managed advocacy and communications campaigns on polio eradication, family planning, global health innovation and safe abortion.
