Fionna is a Director in GHS’ Europe Office.
Prior to joining GHS, Fionna worked in the UK Parliament for five years, first as a researcher and then as an adviser on Foreign Affairs, Europe, Defence and International Development.
Alongside her detailed policy knowledge in these areas, she has extensive experience in communications and campaigning, including running herself as a parliamentary candidate in the 2017 General Election.
She has also worked on two US presidential elections, in 2008 and 2012.
Before entering politics, Fionna worked in financial services, before moving to Mexico to work on a project promoting sustainable tourism in Chiapas.
Fionna graduated from the University of York in 2010 with a joint honors degree in History and Political Science, and has also studied at the University of California in San Diego.
Fionna currently works on a range of issues, including the Nursing Now campaign, the Global Mental Health campaign and the WHO High Level Commission on Noncommunicable Diseases.
