Chris joined the GHS NY team as Vice President in March 2013. Chris has more than 15 years of experience in global health communications and policy advocacy. He has helped some of the world’s leading health and development organizations build widespread support to fight infectious disease and improve child health in developing economies.
As a consultant to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Chris has designed strategies to increase government, donor and industry investment in global HIV prevention, malaria control, childhood immunization and research on new vaccines and medicines. At the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, he led communications for the launch of the first-ever HIV vaccine clinical trials in South Africa and India. As a consultant to the U.S. Agency for International Development, Chris helped policymakers understand the best ways to promote safe injection practices in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.
Chris received a master’s degree in political communication from the University of Pennsylvania. He has worked with the Annenberg Public Policy Center and the Pew Research Center to design and conduct opinion surveys of the American electorate and is a co-author of Capturing Campaign Dynamics (Oxford University Press).
