Anjali Nayyar brings over two decades of expertise to the global health arena, specializing in the development of comprehensive strategies that influence health policy and practices in the global south. Presently, she leads programs across emerging markets in South and Southeast Asia, Africa as well as managing operations through five offices and a network of independent consultants.
Previously, Anjali held key positions, including Country Director for Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) in India, and a six-year tenure at The International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), initially as India Country Director and later as Vice President for Country and Regional Programs based in New York. As Vice President, she led field operations and non-research initiatives across diverse countries, such as India, Brazil, South Africa, China, Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda. Anjali has also worked with the Population Council Regional Office, South and East Asia, as a Communications Specialist and Project Director for South and East Asia.
Anjali actively contributes to several health-focused committees and groups, including the Confederation of Indian Industry(CII)-National Committee on Public Health, the Expert Group on Tuberculosis for the Global Coalition Against TB, and the Uniting to Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) Consultative Forum. Additionally, she lends her expertise to the National Technical Advisory Group (NTAG) on Maternal, Newborn, Child Health, and Nutrition (MNCH)-Saksham project and serves on Wadhwani Initiative for Sustainable Healthcare (WISH) Advisory Committees spanning various health domains.
