Andrea joined GHS in 2016 after working on the United Nation’s Ebola Team, where she established new protocols, training and evaluation methods to ensure the safety of UN staff during the wake of the Ebola crisis. Prior to joining the UN, she worked for Global Links, a medical relief and development organization. Andrea discovered her passion for global health while working in clinics in Botswana, where she focused on maternal health. Andrea graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Biology of Global Health. While at Georgetown, Andrea was deeply committed to education, serving as tutor and advocate for disadvantaged students in DC, and teaching English in Turkey with Learning Enterprises, a student-led nonprofit.
Since joining GHS, Andrea has worked on advocacy and communications campaigns for vaccines, nutrition, global health innovation and access to medicines. In spare time, Andrea loves rock climbing and listening to live music.
