Alex joined GHS in 2013, bringing over a decade of experience in global health, and a commitment to addressing issues around equity and access to care.
At GHS, Alex has coordinated and led campaigns, events and partnerships on issues ranging from global health innovation and vaccine delivery to health system strengthening and access to safe abortion.
Prior to GHS, Alex served as the Global Health Policy Analyst for the Congressional Research Service, where she provided support to members of the U.S. House and Senate on legislation and funding related to global health, gender-based violence and post-conflict/disaster reconstruction. She has also lived and worked in the field, supporting programs on HIV/AIDS, sexual violence and youth education in Haiti, Senegal, Rwanda, South Africa and Cambodia. She holds an MA in International Relations from Yale University and a BA in Political Science from Macalester College.
