Alex Menezes is a Senior Vice President leading GHS’ Latin America office in Rio de Janeiro, which he started in 2012. Alex and his team manage a portfolio of projects for international and local clients that promote research and access to innovations in malaria, vaccines, maternal and child health and other issues in Brazil, Colombia, Peru and regionally. Alex started his public health career in the civil society response to AIDS in Brazil. Prior to joining GHS, he was a Director at the international AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), based in New York, where he oversaw IAVI’s civil society and community engagement efforts across geographies, as well as managed partnerships in Brazil and China. He is a psychologist with a master’s degree in Communications.
