Akshi Chawla joins GHS as an SPA on the Market Access team. Her professional choices have been driven by her conviction for working towards improving citizens’ access to their entitlements. Prior to GHS, she worked at the International Centre for Journalists’ India Program where she produced data driven projects for digital newsrooms around themes such as gender, welfare and inclusion. Before that, she dabbled with research, data collection and analysis of the welfare politics in Punjab in the run-up to the State elections of 2017.

Akshi holds a Masters’ degree in Political Science from Panjab University, and a Post-graduate certificate in the liberal arts from the Young India Fellowship.

In her free time, Akshi enjoys reading, meditating on coloring books, and exploring the cultural heritage of Delhi. On weekends, she volunteers at Khwaab, an organization that works towards imparting skills and financial independence to women in an East Delhi community.
