Founded in 2017, our staff in the UK and Geneva serve as GHS’ regional hub for Europe and the Middle East, working with partners to drive progress on pressing global health, human rights and development issues.
GHS Europe uses a creative and nimble approach to foster collaboration and make powerful connections between critical health issues. We understand how the global health and development sectors work and have a deep knowledge of the political and media landscapes in Europe and the Middle East.
From nursing to mental health, GHS Europe has launched and sustained a number of new campaigns, working in close collaboration with our sister offices around the globe. We know how to both establish emerging issues on the global agenda and give fresh momentum to long-standing priorities.
Much of our work falls under the umbrella of non-communicable diseases. In the last year we’ve focused on cervical cancer, obesity and mental health, in addition to cross-cutting issues, including antimicrobial resistance, access to medicines and universal health coverage.
