Accessible Affordable Sustainable: Exploring Alternative Financing for Cancer Care in India.

The policy brief provides a comprehensive overview of the current burden of cancer in India, the infrastructure and treatment avenues available to cancer patients, and the associated costs of cancer treatment in India. The brief also highlights the need for alternative financing for the treatment and management of cancers. We outline select good practices of financing mechanisms from India and globally. Lastly, the brief recommends a new, holistic public-private partnership model for cancer care, which includes the multiple areas of intervention needed to confront a disease that has many aspects to it.
