Eeshan Khandekar is a public policy professional with a passion for improving health equity through coalition building and storytelling. He was formerly at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine where he worked alongside interdisciplinary, expert steering committees to identify and communicate priority issues for drug R&D and facilitate the development of evidence-based recommendations for global heath policy. Prior to joining the National Academies, Eeshan worked on projects related to the CDC’s Global Health Security Agenda, global health R&D in the US, and health workforce development in Nigeria.

Earlier in his career, Eeshan wrote advocacy briefs to support healthcare innovators access financing and conducted a program evaluation on Zanzibar’s malaria surveillance system to support the region’s goal of malaria elimination. Eeshan holds a B.A. in Public Policy from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.Sc. in Global Health from Duke University.
