Melanie is a Senior Director in the GHS Europe office, with experience giving strategic advice to a range of organizations, from UN agencies to community-led advocacy groups.

She has provided surge support to WHO since February 2020, covering issues including antimicrobial resistance, COVID-19 and immunisation.

Melanie has also worked on incubating organisations and campaigns, such as United for Global Mental Health and Nursing Now, and launching major reports, such as Lancet Commissions and UNDP’s 2019 and 2020 Human Development Reports.

Before GHS, Melanie launched and managed BBC Media Action’s Insight blog about research and policy in development. Her background is in think tank communications, having worked for the Overseas Development Institute’s humanitarian team and Africa Research Institute.
