Lynda is an experienced communication professional with 8 years of diverse experience in journalism, advertising, public relations, and non-profit work. At the Centre for Human Rights and Policy Studies (CHRIPS), she led the design and implementation of communication strategies aimed at enhancing media and digital presence and engaging senior policymakers in Kenya’s government, multilateral organizations, and civil society partners. She also diversified her portfolio by contributing to various research studies and writing roles.
Lynda’s expertise extends to providing technical advice to advocacy projects with a focus on women’s empowerment. She has collaborated with organizations such as the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) and the East Africa Civil Society Organizations Forum (EACSOF-Kenya Chapter) on the Girls Advocacy Alliance Project, which aimed to promote equal opportunities and rights to education for women and girls. She also provided communication support for the 50 Million Women Speak Africa platform in Kenya, a digital platform supported by the African Development Bank. Additionally, Lynda led and advised on ensuring that women’s rights and access to information were realized for small-scale traders operating within the one-stop border posts in East Africa.
Lynda holds an MA in Literature and a BA in Communication and Literature from the University of Nairobi.
