Sophia is a Senior Program Associate working on communication and digital advocacy for projects on child health and immunization in India and south-east Asia. Sophia has around 10 years of work experience in development sector and research institutions. In her previous role, she led the communication team of India HIV/AIDS Alliance for their internal and external communication, building brand, content generation—print, digital and social media, and developing marketing strategy and communication collaterals for effective advocacy.
During her stint with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Sophia was responsible for development, management and evaluation of projects and activities in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). She has worked in instituting one of the first awards in India to recognise the achievements of corporate India in the field of HIV/AIDS and Environment Excellence.
Her past experience also includes being subject advisor for various documentary films for creating awareness on public health.
Sophia completed her bachelors from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University and her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Stella Maris College, Madras University.
