Dr. Florence Manguyu advises GHS on its work in Kenya and across East Africa. A pediatrician by training, Florence has spent her career advocating for the health and well-being of women and children around the world. She played a leading role in drafting Kenya’s first comprehensive Act on the Rights of the Child, and she chaired the NGO Forum at the watershed 1994 International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo, Egypt.
Florence is a Consultant Pediatrician at the Aga Khan University Hospital and has held prominent board and trustee positions at international, regional and local organizations. She is also a member and past-president of the Medical Women’s International Association.
