Simone is a Senior Associate, passionate about public health, social justice and health equity. She graduated from University of Michigan School of Public Health with a B.A. in Community and Global Public Health and minors in Spanish and Public Policy.
During her undergraduate career, Simone served as Director of International Partnerships (2016-2018) and Co-President (2018-2020) of GlobeMed, a student-run health equity non-profit. Her work aimed to amplify partner voices and create sustainable growth, specifically focusing on improving nutrition, hygiene education and waste management in El Salvador, Detroit, and Cambodia. She was the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Undergraduate Journal of Public Health where she managed an academic print journal and a blog for young voices in the field. Simone also has experience in data analysis and project management through her research role at the National Center for School Safety.
