Kgomotso Seko is based in Johannesburg and was Nutrition Advocacy & Campaigns Officer of the Graça Machel Trust; has over 15 years of experience working in the private and non-profit sectors. In this role, she focused on advocacy for nutrition to be addressed as a development priority. Her strength lies in her experience in strategy development, partner coordination and stakeholder engagement with a particular focus in the East and Southern Africa region.
As the first Communications Officer of the Trust, Kgomotso worked on broad Communications outputs for the region including women’s economic advancement and children’s rights, leadership and governance.
Prior to joining the Trust, Ms. Seko worked as an Associate Funding Policy & Research, Major Donor Coordinator at Médecins Sans Frontières South Africa focusing on HIV/AIDS, TB and humanitarian interventions on the African continent. She completed her Bachelors in Community Development and Honours in Development Studies from the University of South Africa, Johannesburg.
