Estella is an Associate with a passion for global health. Previously, she has been involved with various research projects in the field of global health. As a member of a research team partnered with the Lancet Commission on Global Hearing Loss, she assisted with work on evaluating barriers and strategies to scaling up hearing healthcare interventions. Additionally, she conducted research on policy solutions to address the negative health and environmental effects of mercury use in artisanal and small-scale gold mining while interning with the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Estella is a recent graduate of Duke University with a B.A. in Public Policy Studies and Global Health, where she developed a strong interest in the role that effective policymaking plays in improving health equity and health outcomes.
