What We Do

Global Health Strategies specializes in communications, advocacy, research and strategy. We focus primarily on public health issues that impact developing nations and emerging markets, and we employ a unique model that leverages the synergy between communications and advocacy. We view effective communications and advocacy as mutually reinforcing tools to impact health policies, practice and funding.

Communications: GHS develops broad-based communications strategies for organizations, products, programs and new initiatives. Our full range of services includes strategic planning, key messaging, materials development and targeted media outreach. GHS has strong relationships with opinion-leading media in the US, Europe, developing nations and emerging markets, including in print, broadcast and online news, new media, and scientific and trade publications.

Advocacy: GHS partners with clients to create advocacy strategies that identify and engage key constituencies and influence global policy. Specific advocacy support ranges from brokering relationships with influential stakeholders to positioning organizations and issues in ways that advance our clients’ overall objectives. GHS helps clients engage new audiences by organizing and facilitating forums for interactions with key stakeholders, policymakers and potential partners.

Research and Policy Analysis: GHS provides intelligence that enables clients to fully understand their operating and competitive environment. Through its networks, GHS is able to conduct policy and marketing research that assesses the state of the field for ongoing initiatives and new products. This support ranges from analysis of existing data to direct surveys of key stakeholders and experts.

Organizational Development and Resource Mobilization: GHS advises clients on organizational development and strategic planning, including the development of new global health campaigns and initiatives. We design, support and implement resource mobilization strategies, and facilitate contact with foundations, government agencies and international donors. We also counsel clients on institutional priorities and resource allocation to streamline efforts and maximize impact.
