Vidhu Pasricha, a graduate of New York University, is passionate about serving the community both at a local and global level. She has spent several years acquiring experience in the public sector at both the state and international level. At the state-level, Vidhu has worked with Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Special Counsel where she focused on the effect of the 2014 gubernatorial election by analyzing an array of statewide policies. At the global level, Vidhu has spent over a year and a half with the United Nations. In 2016, she worked with the United Nations Global Compact, the UN’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, where she was responsible for seeking new partner organizations while also planning large-scale events that took place around the 2016 General Assembly.
It was her time with UNICEF in the Public Advocacy Section where she uncovered her deep interest in health. While working on advocacy strategies for government administrations that encouraged countries to focus on abandoned children in humanitarian crises, Vidhu found her mission – seeking ways to protect young girls with disabilities in emergency situations. This mission empowers Vidhu to continue her work in global affairs and health.
In her free time, Vidhu can be found wandering the museums of the city admiring the newest impressionist exhibit or munching on yet another delicious cookie or pastry.
