Prior to joining GHS, Olivia worked on the Policy and Advocacy team at Global Citizen, where she helped design poverty eradication campaign strategies and developed content on gender equality and global health. She moved to NYC from Ithaca, NY, where she taught interactive science at a museum and acted in a documentary play about American activism during the Darfur Genocide.
Olivia holds a B.A. in Biology and Society with minors in Spanish and Global Health from Cornell University. While at Cornell, she studied Ayurvedic medicine in India, and spent a semester in Chile studying nursing. Through clinical rotations in Ayurvedic and family health clinics, elder homes and infant rehabilitation centers, she solidified a deep commitment to tackling systemic health inequities. She also worked as a research assistant for the StrongWomen study, which examined the effects of a strength training program for rural women, and volunteered tutoring English and facilitating legal workshops for migrant farmworkers in upstate New York.Connect on LinkedIn
