Natalia Veras is in the last semester of Journalism at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Prior to joining GHS, she interned for a year as a reporter and editor at Radio PUC. She has written many articles on issues such as health, international relations and, especially, human rights. In college, she conducted research on the refugee situation in Brazil and also did an independent podcast on teenage pregnancy. At the moment, Natalia is dedicating herself to her monograph. She investigates how sexual violence is represented in the Brazilian media focusing on a case study of a gang rape that took place in Rio de Janeiro in early 2016.
