Luiza is a Program Manager at Global Health Strategies with background in public health and pharmaceutical sciences. Global Health professional committed to impact positive change in healthcare worldwide through health advocacy, policy and programmatic related work. She has experience with public health and human rights; research and innovation; project managing and public health policies. Prior to joining GHS, she worked with vulnerable population, such as trans gender women and the LGBTQ+ community at the National Institute of Infectology (Oswaldo Cruz Foundation) and others Fiocruz projects and departments. Over the years, she worked in several research projects to improve access to medicines in Brazil, in different fields, such as reproductive health and contraceptives and new medicines for HIV prevention. Luiza holds a bachelor in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), and a PhD in Public Health from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
