Lara brings a passion for health equity and strong international communications experience to GHS. Prior to joining, she spent two years in Rwanda working for Health Builders, an organization focused on increasing access to quality healthcare services. She served first as a Global Health Corps Fellow and later as the Development and Communications Officer, enhancing the visibility of the organization on local and international levels. Lara previously worked with Life Education Center in Tamil Nadu, India, a local NGO supporting access to education for women in rural areas. She then moved to Tunisia where she worked for the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research, promoting women’s political empowerment within the MENA region. In addition, she has several years of private sector experience in Paris and is fluent in French.
Lara holds a BA in Psychology from Drew University and an MA in Global Communication and Development from the American University of Paris.
