Glaison Cherian is a program associate at Global Health Strategies. He presently works on the Family Planning and the RMNCAH Coalition projects. In the past Glaison volunteered with BloodConnect Foundation, a pan-India NGO working in the field of Voluntary Blood Donation. He served as the President for the Finance and Compliance (India) team of BloodConnect Foundation. At BloodConnect, he handled the organisation’s work in developing partnerships with external stakeholders, developing strategies to improve the efficiency in utilising the organisation’s resources and organising blood donation camps and awareness sessions in colleges, Resident Welfare Associations and corporate organisations across the country. Glaison completed his graduation from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi, majoring in Chemistry. Inspired by the work undertaken by The Social Service League at St. Stephens College, he actively worked in the society and served as the co-ordinator for the Primary Education Division of the society focussing on providing education and training modules for underprivileged children across Delhi. Passionate about music and sports, Glaison is a trained pianist and was the captain of the School Badminton team.
