Ameerah Hasnain has joined the RMNCH+A team in GHS as a Program Associate. She has a post-graduate degree in Rural Development and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
Ameerah has experience of working in development researches with national NGOs across Mumbai, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh on the themes of gender as a social determinant of health, gender justice & laws and human rights violations. Trained in qualitative research conceptualization and designing, Ameerah’s role has been pivotal to programmatic interventions through process documentation, analysis, research report writing and handling the programme outreach. Subsequently, she has contributed to the research publications and prepared white papers for advocacy on gender sensitizing medical practitioners and human rights violations. She has also presented papers on critical findings from research studies at national-level conferences.
Ameerah brings together her expertise in research, documentation and communications skills with the aim of contributing towards a gender-just and a healthy society.
