Jen developed an interest in health care issues during her junior year at Beijing Foreign Studies University, where she received a dual Bachelor's degree in International Relations and English in July 2012. She then went to the United States to pursue her M.S. degree in Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in health care reform and related policy analysis.
After graduating from Penn in May 2014, she joined a Philadelphia-based health care startup to help them with data screening and statistical analysis. Prior to that, she was the Research Assistant at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, where she analyzed information on state-level policy in relation to the Affordable Care Act. She also interned at Burson-Marsteller for five months, where she facilitated a broad range of PR/communication initiatives.
Apart from her professional interest in health promotion and cross-national communications, Jen is a passionate snowboarder, avid half-marathon runner and frequent traveller.
