Prior to GHS, Courtney worked for two years as a health reporter with the ABC News Medical Unit.  While there she covered a variety of health and healthcare policy issues with a focus on women's health and sexual health.  Courtney also served as a research assistant throughout her years at ABC News, providing news guidance to Good Morning America, Nightline and World News with Diane Sawyer.  Courtney has also been a contributing author for Psychology Today Magazine.

Courtney graduated from Brown University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Global Environment.  She minored in Psychology and in her summers contributed to multiple research projects at Yale University through their medical school's Program for Recovery and Community Health.
