Amandeep Singh is a Senior Manager at the GHS India office and supports advocacy efforts on Immunization and Malaria. Amandeep has over 10 years of experience in public policy planning and public affairs with a focus on market access strategies, stakeholder ecosystems analysis, and crisis and issues management. Prior to working with GHS Amandeep has managed a wide range of public policy & public affairs projects while working at the Planning Commission, Government of India and Edelman India office.
Amandeep has been a member of the core drafting group on the Health Chapter for the 12th Five Year Plan, the Steering Committee Report for the Health Chapter and the Approach Paper for the 12th Five Year Plan during his work with the Planning Commission. Amandeep spearheaded the parliamentary advocacy campaign for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Bill, 2014, simplifying the regulations for procuring opioid drugs when used for medicinal purposes. The passing of the bill enables increased access to pain relief and palliative care for millions of terminally ill patients in India. The campaign won the prestigious public affairs Gold Sabre – Healthcare (providers/medical devices) Award in the year 2014.
A Masters in Business Administration specializing in Healthcare Management, Amandeep in the past has been associated with several international & national organisations in managing research-driven advocacy and communications programs for Organizations of Pharmaceutical Products in India (OPPI), Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), British United Provident Association (BUPA), Abbott, Astra Zeneca, and Tata Chemicals Limited.
